visitor information

parking

There won't be a road closure this year and the car parks in Dunster in the Steep and Park Street will be open (including National Trust car park at Dunster Castle), but expect it to be busier than usual and we recommend you give yourself plenty of time to find a space if you are attending one of our ticketed events.

No parking is available at the Tithe Barn, other than for blue badge holders who are attending the Medieval Banquet on Friday 5th December.

Please respect our village when parking, please only park in designated parking areas and do not block people's drives. Certain areas will be reserved for emergency vehicles, staff and entertainers. Please drive carefully through the village as there will be many more visitors than usual.

Disabled parking provision

A few spaces between the Tithe Barn and the Church, in Priory Green next to the Dovecote are reserved for blue badge holders.

park 'n' ride

As the car parks are likely to be busier than usual we have arranged a shuttle bus service between Minehead Train Station and the village between 10.30am and 5.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are £2 one way or £3 return. Cash only. Under 12s go free!

The Festival is during the daytime on Saturday and Sunday, so the shuttle bus schedule is designed to cover the majority of the event. There is one bus which will run a circuit approximately every 30 mins.

event hq

Dunster Memorial Hall in the High Street is acting as the event HQ for the duration of the Festival. Here you can find information about the Festival and lost child provision.

First Aid facilities

First aiders are available throughout the duration of the Festival at the Tithe Barn.

Wifi

Mobile reception isn't so good in the village, although it's better in the High Street. We have installed a temporary wifi in St George's Church and wifi is also available for free at the Memorial Hall in the High Street.
